Eco Roads is a process whereby recycled granular tarmac is used to build up levels and create a firm structural base, this is then compacted and coated with a high quality hot liquid bitumen followed by an application of decorative stone chippings which offers a natural and aesthetically pleasing finish.

But the secret is in the mixture of the two products, recycled tarmac is a bi-product of road resurfacing and is used nationwide due to its low cost and effectiveness. When it is laid on its own it can still appear loose on the surface and pole holes can still occur, but when the material is coated in hot bitumen it reactivates the bitumen content within the recycled tarmac, binding all the material together. Once it is rolled and has cooled you are left with a bonded sealed surface, which is as good, and indeed no different to a tarmac road. The only difference is the cost being substantially lower!
